The Project Management Professional Course provides students with knowledge and understanding
necessaryto go on and successfully complete the Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
exam.

This Project Management Professional Course is suitable for:

• Team Managers

• PMO staff
• Senior Managers overseeing project teams
• Plus anyone interested in project work.

Entry Requirements

The Project Management Professional course is an open course with no pre-requisite qualifications. 
Any experience in project teams would be beneficial.  Students should note that while there are no
pre-requisites for taking this Project Management Professional course, PMI does have pre-requisites
for taking the PMP exam.  Please contact our office for further information.

Course Content

The Project Management Professional course is based on the Project Management Institute's
publication, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ®).  Course topics
include project scope, risk management, change management, scheduling, stakeholder management
and many more areas. 

During the Project Management Professional course, participants will work through the project lifecycle
from starting a project through to proper closure of the project.  During this journey they will consider the
key elements of project management.

Assessment

There is no formal assessment at the close of the Project Management Professional course.  This
course is designed as a Project Management Professional Certification exam preparation course. 
Students will arrange directly with PMI to sit the exam.  All students will receive a certificate of attendance.

The course fee includes:

• the PMBOK textbook
• all Blue Maple study materials
• catering for the event
• exam application assistance where necessary

The course does not include the Project Management Professional Certification exam which is
organised directly with the Project Management Institute.   Assistance can be provided to students
to help them with their exam registration.
