Overview

The PRINCE2^® course was designed for individuals who are interested in studying the PRINCE2 methodology in a classroom environment under the guidance of an experienced facilitator.  There are 2 levels to the  PRINCE2 training certification program:  Foundation and Practitioner.  The Foundation level of the PRINCE2 training is conducted over 3 days while the Practitioner course runs for an additional 2 days (5 days in total for Foundation & Practitioner PRINCE2 training).

Students can book the following PRINCE2 course options:

1. Foundation: 3 days
2. Foundation & Practitioner: 5 days consecutive (details on this page)
3. Foundation & Practitioner Split: 3 days and then return for the final 2 days at a later date
4. Practitioner: 2 days (students must have completed the Foundation exam already)
5. Distance Learning: Foundation and Practitioner distance learning options

Course Outcome

The PRINCE2 course provides students with indepth knowledge and understanding on the practical application of the PRINCE2 methodology.  Students will receive either a certificate in the PRINCE2 methodology at the Foundation level or PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate depending on the course selected.

Entry Requirements

This PRINCE2 training event is an open course with no pre-requisite qualifications.  Any experience in project teams would be beneficial.

Course Content

The PRINCE2 course is based on the Managing Successful Projects manual (2009 edition).  The PRINCE2 training covers the Processes, Themes and the Principles of the PRINCE2 methodology along with how to tailor the method for a project.

Participants will work through the project lifecycle from starting a project through to proper closure of the project.  During this journey they will consider all key aspects of the PRINCE2 methodology.

Assessment

To achieve the PRINCE2 methodology qualifications, participants will need to successfully complete the relevant exams.

1.  PRINCE2 Foundation Exam: this is a 1 hour multiple choice exam (taken on the 3^rd day)
2.  PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam: this is a 2.5 hour Objective Test Exam (taken on the 5^th day)

Participants must pass the PRINCE2 methodology Foundation exam before proceeding to the Practitioner exam
