The Certified Associate in Project Management course (CAPM) provides students with knowledge and
understanding necessary to go on and take the CAPM exam. 

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for:

• Project Managers
• Team Managers
• Team Members
• PMO staff
• Senior Managers overseeing project teams
• Plus anyone interested in project work.

Entry Requirements

The Certified Associate in Project Management course is an open course with no pre-requisite qualifications.
 Any experience in project teams would be beneficial. Students should note that while there are no pre-requisites
for taking this course, PMI does have pre-requisites for taking the CAPM exam.  Please contact our office for
further information.

Course Content

The Certified Associate in Project Management course is based on the Project Management Institute's
publication, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ®).  Course topics includes project
scope, risk management, change management, scheduling, stakeholder management and many more areas. 

Participants will work through the project lifecycle from starting a project through to proper closure of the project.
During this journey they will consider the key elements of project management.

Assessment

There is no formal assessment at the close of the Certified Associate in Project Management course.  This
course is designed as a CAPM Exam preparation course.  Students will arrange directly with PMI to sit the exam.
All students will receive a certificate of attendance.

Course fee includes

The Certified Associate in Project Management course fee includes:

• the PMBOK textbook
• all Blue Maple study materials
• catering for the event
• exam application assistance where necessary

The course does not include the CAPM exam which is organised directly with the Project Management Institute. 
 Assistance can be provided to students to assist them with their registration.
